About Me

redlabels: JL, Malaysia Citizen, born in 1977, holds a bachelor degree in marketing management from the University of Wales and diploma in graphic design from Malaysian Institute of Arts. Attracted by his cousin sister’s collection and the story behind colorful packaging of different Coke bottles, he made his first collection in 2002 when traveled to China. From 2002 to 2009, he started to study the history of Coke bottle, learned from collectors in the trade – exchange opinion with collector over sea. After visited a large Coke bottle retailer in town, he was convinced to focus in collecting bottle. For 6 years, he sourced all bottles from different countries and engaged in ecommerce activities. Initially, JL would like to create his own photo album at internet. And at the September of 2008, he took a 100 days sabbatical during which he wrote – among his understanding about coke collection – redlabels. He now lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
